To Hollywood’s LA punk scene, first with Levi & The Rockats, and later The Rockats and back, playing with KISS, David Bowie, etc. Hanging out with Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, The Sex Pistols, Generation X, Blondie, The Dead Boys, The Ramones, The Go-Go’s and more.

In the 80s, he ran the VIP Lounge at London’s Limelight club, partied with the 80s music scene glitterati, ran Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones’ Miami nightclub in the 80s, then formed The Havalinas in Hollywood, touring with Bob Dylan, playing with Tom Waits, etc …

In the 90s, he performed in Neo-Rockabilly supergroup, 13 Cats, with Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats, Tim Worman Polecat of The Polecats, and Danny B. Harvey, also from The Rockats.

In Recent years, he re-united with Levi and the Rockats at the World’s Largest Rockabilly Festival, Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend for the band’s 40 year anniversary, shared a stage with Little Richard, toured Japan, etc.

This year is the 40 year anniversary of The Rockats album, “Live at The Ritz,” and plans are in the works for some exciting new developments around that. Smutty is also working on his memoir, with all his crazy stories and photos, never before seen! Stay Tuned!
